Who we are

Martial operates this website at trymartial.app and is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at hello@trymartial.app. The legal entity name and registered address will be stated here before launch.

What we collect, and why

The waitlist. When you join, we store your email address and limited attribution: the referral code that referred you, any campaign parameters in the link you arrived through, a country derived from your connection, and, if you came from a directory page, the gym and city that page was about. We do not store your IP address on your waitlist record. We use this only to manage the waitlist, to order it fairly, and to tell you when it is your turn. It is a single purpose. We do not sell it and we do not share it for anyone else to market to you.

Confirmation. We use double opt-in. After you sign up we send one email with a confirmation link. You are added only after you confirm. If you do not confirm, you are not on the list.

Analytics. With your consent, we use product analytics and web-vitals measurement to understand how the site is used and to keep it fast. These load only after you accept, and for visitors in the EU, the EEA, and the UK they are off until you do.

The directory. The gym directory contains public business information such as a gym name, address, and the programs it offers. This is information about businesses, not private individuals.

Legal basis

• Waitlist and email confirmation: your consent.
• Analytics: your consent.
• Directory listings: our legitimate interest in maintaining an accurate public directory of businesses.

Who processes it

We use a small number of processors to run the service: a database and storage provider, a transactional email provider for the confirmation message, an analytics provider, a hosting provider, and an abuse-protection provider for the signup form. Each handles data only on our instructions. We do not sell personal data.

How long we keep it

We keep your waitlist record until the waitlist has served its purpose, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. Analytics data is retained according to the analytics provider settings. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, or delete your data, and you can withdraw consent at any time. To change or withdraw analytics consent, use the Cookie preferences link in the footer. To exercise any other right, email hello@trymartial.app. If you are in the EU, the EEA, or the UK, you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority. If you are a California resident, you have the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale of personal information; we do not sell personal information.

Gym listings: removal and correction

If you represent a gym and want a listing corrected or removed, use the "Remove or correct this listing" link on the gym page once the directory is live, or email us. We act on verified requests.

Changes

If this policy changes in a material way, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you directly.
