Method
We measure what happened and we tell you the truth.
Most apps in this category guess from a microphone and tell you what you want to hear. That is the opposite of useful. Martial records what happened on the mat and gives you an honest account of it. Honest, private, yours.
Grapplers can smell a lie. The whole point of this product is to be the one honest voice in a field of flatterers, so the guardrails below are not marketing. They are the promises we hold ourselves to.
What we promise
It sees what happened. It will not tell you you are better than you are.
Flattery feels good and teaches nothing. The record is the record. If you got caught, it says so.
A supplement to mat time. Bring it to your coach.
Nothing here replaces a coach or the hours on the mat. It is the work between sessions, made visible, so the time with your coach is better spent.
Private by default. For you, not for clout.
Your sessions are yours. Nothing is public unless you choose to share it. We are not building a place to film the mat without asking.
Free while it is in beta. No paywall before value.
You will not hit a wall before the product has earned anything. While it is in beta it is free.
The thesis
Progress in grappling is mostly invisible. You remember the round you won and forget the three you lost the same way. An honest record changes that. When you can see what actually happened, session after session, you train the real gaps instead of the ones you remember.
A note from the founder
This started as a tool for one person who wanted an honest record of his own rolls. Built by a karate black belt now training BJJ, who films his own rolls. The product is the one he wanted and could not find: a record that respects the work and does not flatter it.
